Cedar SwellSaunas
Reserve

Story

Cold country teaches you what heat is worth.

Cedar Swell started with William and Delani Gregorash, at 61 degrees north in Eagle River, Alaska.

We started building saunas for ourselves, in a climate that does not forgive shortcuts. A sauna in Alaska is not decoration. It is how you get through the dark half of the year.

The science kept the project honest. Twenty minutes at 180 degrees, four times a week, drops cardiac event risk by 50 percent. That is a documented outcome from a 20-year Finnish study. The sauna is the delivery mechanism. The years are yours.

We do not build the cheapest sauna. We build in solid cedar, by hand, one at a time. The one you keep for thirty years.

Cedar grows slow. The swell rises steady. Neither rushes. Both work on a longer clock than the rest of modern life.
